Between clients
- Remove hair from the chair, floor and station.
- Clean and disinfect reusable tools as required.
- Replace neck strips, towels and capes with clean items.
- Wipe surfaces that were touched during the service.
- Dispose of single use items safely.
Daily cleaning
- Sweep or vacuum floors.
- Mop hard floors where suitable.
- Clean mirrors and worktops.
- Empty bins.
- Clean reception and waiting areas.
- Disinfect frequently touched points such as door handles and card machines.
- Clean toilets and hand washing areas if provided.
Weekly cleaning
- Deep clean stations and drawers.
- Clean product shelves.
- Wash reusable capes and towels correctly.
- Check stock of hygiene supplies.
- Clean behind chairs and furniture.
Monthly cleaning
- Review deep cleaning tasks.
- Inspect storage areas.
- Check for damaged furniture, mats or tools.
- Remove expired or contaminated products.
Good habits
Keep clean and used items separate. Do not let hair build up around electrical tools. Keep cleaning products labelled and stored safely.
