Terms of Service
Last updated: 11 May 2026
1. Introduction
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the TrustCut platform. TrustCut is operated by Soulstack (“we”, “us”, “our”). Contact address for legal correspondence: Office One, 1 Coldbath Square, Farringdon, London, EC1R 5HL, England. By accessing or using TrustCut, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the platform.
2. The service
TrustCut is an online marketplace that connects clients with barbers and barbershops. We provide the technology platform to facilitate discovery and booking. We are not a party to any service agreement between a client and a barber.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By registering, you represent that you meet this age requirement and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
4. Accounts
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
- You may delete your account at any time via your account settings or by contacting us.
5. Bookings
- Bookings made through TrustCut constitute an arrangement between you and the barber or barbershop. TrustCut facilitates the booking but is not a party to the contract for services.
- It is your responsibility to attend booked appointments on time or cancel in advance.
- Cancellation policies are set by individual barbers and barbershops. Refer to each provider’s terms at the time of booking.
- We do not guarantee the availability, quality, or safety of any barber services.
5b. Deposits, subscriptions and refunds
- Some barbers or barbershops may require a deposit before a booking is confirmed. The amount is shown before payment.
- Deposits are processed by Stripe and routed to the relevant barber, barbershop or TrustCut account according to the payout configuration shown during onboarding.
- Refund handling depends on the booking state, the relevant provider’s cancellation terms, and any mandatory consumer rights that apply.
- Paid TrustCut subscriptions renew until cancelled. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless Stripe or TrustCut states otherwise at the time of cancellation.
- TrustCut is not currently registered for UK VAT. No VAT is charged on subscription invoices, and no VAT is reclaimable by VAT-registered customers. We will notify customers if this changes.
- Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights, including rights under consumer protection law.
5a. Discovery profiles
A Discovery profile is a free public listing for a barber or barbershop who does not accept bookings through TrustCut. Discovery profiles do not include payment processing, booking availability, or any TrustCut-managed transaction. If you contact a barber via the details published on a Discovery profile, any subsequent communication, appointment, or payment is a matter between you and that barber.
TrustCut is not a party to, and accepts no responsibility for, any communication, booking or payment that arises off-platform following a Discovery-profile contact. No commission is charged to Discovery users, and no fee is charged to you for using a Discovery profile.
Discovery-profile operators are responsible for the accuracy of the contact information they publish and for honouring any arrangements they agree with clients through those channels.
6. Barber and barbershop obligations
If you register as a barber or barbershop on TrustCut, you additionally agree to:
- Provide accurate business information, including services, pricing and availability.
- Honour confirmed bookings, or cancel with reasonable notice.
- Comply with all applicable laws, including consumer protection, health and safety, and data protection legislation.
- Not use the platform to engage in misleading, fraudulent or unlawful activity.
7. Reviews
Each barber or barbershop independently chooses which review sources they accept. A profile may accept any combination of: reviews tied to a completed TrustCut booking (“Verified visit”), in-shop reviews submitted via the profile’s QR code (“Verified in-shop”), and reviews from any signed-in TrustCut client account (“TrustCut user”).
The “Verified visit” badge is reserved exclusively for reviews attached to a booking completed through TrustCut. Other badges represent the reviewer’s stated experience and do not constitute a TrustCut verification of the visit itself. Account-source and QR-source reviews require a signed-in TrustCut account at the time of submission. Booking-source reviews may be submitted by the original client either signed in or via a one-time link tied to the email address on the booking.
- Reviews must be honest, accurate and relate to a genuine experience.
- One review per reviewer per profile. Reviews cannot be edited after submission; contact us if you need a review you posted to be removed.
- Barbers and shops may flag a review they believe breaches these Terms; TrustCut will hide the review from public view pending resolution.
- TrustCut may remove or refuse to publish reviews that are defamatory, abusive, fraudulent, misleading, or otherwise in breach of these Terms.
- TrustCut does not commission, purchase, or incentivise reviews. We do not allow any person to be paid, rewarded, or otherwise induced to submit a review without that fact being disclosed in the review itself. Suspected fake or undisclosed-incentivised reviews can be flagged on the review or reported to support@trustcut.co.uk.
- You grant TrustCut a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display your review content on the platform. The same licence covers any reply a barber or shop posts in response to your review.
8. Intellectual property
All content, trademarks, logos and software on TrustCut are owned by or licensed to Soulstack. You may not copy, modify, distribute or reverse-engineer any part of the platform without our prior written consent.
Content you upload (profile photos, gallery images) remains yours. By uploading it, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display it on the platform for the purpose of providing the service.
9. Acceptable use
You must not:
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service, other accounts, or connected systems.
- Interfere with or disrupt the platform or servers.
- Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the platform without our consent.
- Impersonate another person or entity.
- Submit AI assistant feedback that contains personal data, confidential information, payment details, health information, or material that is unlawful, abusive, misleading, or infringes another person’s rights.
9a. AI assistant feedback
TrustCut may offer copy, thumbs-up and thumbs-down controls on AI assistant messages. Copying a message is handled in your browser. If you submit thumbs-up or thumbs-down feedback, you agree that we may store and review bounded snippets of the relevant assistant answer, nearby user context, selected feedback reason, optional comment, and attached source or result metadata to improve assistant quality, safety, and product content.
Do not include personal, sensitive, confidential, or third-party information in AI feedback comments. AI feedback does not create a support ticket or guarantee an individual response.
9b. Illegal and harmful content
TrustCut hosts user-generated content including reviews, profile content, posts, stories, gallery items and reactions. You must not upload, post, share or transmit any content that is unlawful under the laws of England and Wales or that we reasonably consider harmful, including (without limitation) content that is fraudulent, threatening, harassing, defamatory, hateful, infringes another person’s intellectual-property rights, encourages or depicts illegal acts, sexually exploits any person, depicts or relates to a child in a sexual context, promotes terrorism, or otherwise breaches the priority offences listed in the Online Safety Act 2023.
If you encounter content on TrustCut that you believe is illegal, harmful, or breaches these Terms, please report it via the flag control on the relevant content (where available) or by emailing support@trustcut.co.uk with a link to the content and a brief description of the issue. We aim to review reports promptly. We may remove content, hide it from public view pending review, suspend or terminate accounts, and, where required by law, refer matters to the appropriate authorities.
We use a combination of automated tools (including image scanning) and human review to detect and act on illegal or harmful content, but no moderation system is perfect. Reporting helps us act faster.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- TrustCut is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform.
- Our total aggregate liability to any user in connection with a paid TrustCut service is capped at the amount you paid to TrustCut for the specific service giving rise to the claim. If you have paid nothing to TrustCut, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
- We accept no liability for any arrangement, communication, payment or dispute arising between a client and a barber or barbershop off-platform, including any contact that originates from a Discovery profile’s published details.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the laws of England and Wales. UK consumers retain their statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and other applicable consumer protection law.
10a. Service changes and discontinuation
TrustCut is an evolving product. We may add, modify, deprecate or remove features at any time. For free tiers (including Discovery), we may change or discontinue the service without notice. For paid subscriptions, we will give you reasonable notice via email before materially reducing or discontinuing the paid service. Where a paid service is discontinued before the end of a paid billing period, your remedy is limited to a pro-rata refund of the amount paid for the affected period, unless consumer law requires otherwise.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Soulstack from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the platform or violation of these Terms.
12. Changes to the Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via the email address associated with your account at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the platform at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at support@trustcut.co.uk.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to your rights as a consumer under applicable law.
15. Contact
If you have any questions about these Terms, contact us at support@trustcut.co.uk or by post: Soulstack, Office One, 1 Coldbath Square, Farringdon, London, EC1R 5HL, England.
