Cookie Policy
Last updated: 11 May 2026
1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to site operators.
2. Cookies we use
| Cookie | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| __session | Authentication - keeps you signed in | Essential | 12 days |
| trustcut-consent | Remembers whether you chose essential cookies only or accepted all cookies | Essential | 1 year |
| tc_oauth_pkce | OAuth security cookie. Only set if a barber or shop chooses to connect a third-party social account. Scoped to a single callback path and used to protect the connection flow from being tampered with. | Essential | 15 minutes |
3. Third-party cookies
We do not set any third-party advertising or analytics cookies. Firebase Authentication may set cookies or use local storage for session management on the Google domain - these are strictly necessary for sign-in functionality.
The trustcut-consent cookie stores either essential or all, depending on the option you choose in the cookie banner.
4. Managing cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling the essential __session cookie will prevent you from signing in to TrustCut.
Most browsers allow you to:
- View what cookies are set and delete them individually.
- Block third-party cookies.
- Block cookies from specific sites.
- Block all cookies.
- Delete all cookies when you close your browser.
5. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. If we add non-essential cookies in the future, we will update this page and request your consent before setting them.
